How to create a database in Airtable

Steps:

  1. Navigate to https://airtable.com/
  2. Click 'All workspaces' to view all available workspaces.
  3. Select 'View workspace' to open the desired workspace.
  4. Click 'Create' to start a new project.
  5. Choose 'Start from scratch' to begin with a blank table.
  6. Click on the dropdown menu next to the table name to access import options.
  7. Select 'Import Data' and choose 'CSV file' as the format for importing your data.
  8. Click 'Upload 1 file' to select the CSV file you wish to import.
  9. Click 'Import' to bring the data into your table.
  10. Rename your table to something meaningful for easy identification.
  11. Click 'Add or import' to add more data to your table.
  12. Select 'CSV file' again to import additional data.
  13. Click 'Upload 1 file' to choose another CSV file.
  14. Click 'Next' to proceed with the import process.
  15. Click 'Import' to finalize the data import.
  16. To combine both tables, click on the '+' icon to add a new field.
  17. Click on 'Find Field Type' to specify the type of field you want to create.
  18. Type your first table's name as the field name to establish a link.
  19. Toggle 'Allow linking to multiple records' on if you want to link more than one row to a field in your first table, otherwise toggle it off.
  20. Click 'Create field' to add the new field to your table.
  21. Enable the fields you want to bring into this table from the first table by clicking 'Add 7 fields' to include these fields in your table.
  22. Hover over the first linked field until the + sign appears.
  23. Click on the + sign and select the option that matches at least one field in your table, such as the Customer ID.
  24. Repeat the linking process for all rows to ensure data consistency across tables.
